Authorize.net
To Void/Credit a Contribution
You can not reverse (void/credit) a contribution from ARCOS. To do this, you will need to log in to your payment gateway. If your payment gateway is Authorize.net, take the following steps:
- Go to https://secure.authorize.net/ and log in with your Authorize Login ID and password. If you don't have or don't know you Authorize login credentials, check with your Development/Finance team or the person in charge of your website.
- In the top navigation, click Search. This will take you to the Search by Batch screen.
- On the Search by Batch screen, do the following:
- Under "Settlement Date" choose either Unsettled (very recent transactions), All Settled (older transactions), or a specific date.
- Under Customer, enter the donor's first or last name, or both.
- Click the Search button. All of the transactions that match your search criteria will appear in a table.
- In the first column of the search results table, click on the Trans ID of the contribution you want to reverse. This will take you to the Transaction Detail screen.
- On the Transaction Detail screen, click the Void button to reverse the transaction.
To Update/Cancel a Recurring Contribution
You can not update/cancel a recurring contribution from ARCOS. To do this, you will need to log in to your payment gateway. If your payment gateway is Authorize.net, take the following steps:
- Go to https://secure.authorize.net/ and log in with your Authorize Login ID and password. If you don't have or don't know you Authorize login credentials, check with your Development/Finance team or the person in charge of your website.
- In the left navigation, click Recurring Billing.
- Click Search ARB Subscriptions.
- Enter the first or last name of the person whose recurring subscription you want to locate and click the Search button. All of the subscriptions that match your search criteria will appear in a table.
- In the first column of the search results table, click on the Subscr ID of the subscription you want to modify. This will take you to the ARB Subscription Detail screen.
- Click the Edit Subscription link. This will take you to a screen that lets you do any of the following:
- Update the customer's billing information.
- Update the credit card the subscription is charged to.
- Change the subscription amount.
- Change the subscription duration.
- Cancel the subscription. Click the Cancel Subscription link.
