Permission Groups
Permission Groups are a way of grouping together subsets of your members. For example the Peace Officer permission group could be peace officers who have paid their dues. In the future you may be able to display content that only the Peace Officer group members will see.
Clicking Permission Groups in the left navigation takes you to the Find Permission Group screen. Enter the permission group name in the text box and click search. The search results appear below the search box.
To Add a Permission Group
- Click the Add Permission Group button.
- Enter the name of the new group. The name can only contain letters, numbers, and the underscore symbol ("_").
- Click the Save button. You will return to the Find Permission Group page and the new group will be displayed at the bottom of the list.
To Edit a Permission Group
- Click the Edit link next to the name of the Permission Group you wish to modify. This will take you to a screen that displays the Permission Group's system-generated ID and the number of members in the group. The editable fields are the group name and the description.
- Make any changes you wish and click the Savebutton.
To Delete a Permission Group
- Place a check in the checkbox next to the name of the Permission Group you wish to delete.
- Click the Delete Checked button.
