Campaigns
A campaign is simply a group of mailings. If you're sending several mailings that are related, you may want to group them in a campaign so that you can see not only individual mailing reports but also an aggregated campaign report that shows how the group of mailings performed as a whole.
Finding a Campaign
On the Campaigns screen, enter part of the Campaign name in the text box and click the Search button. The search results will appear below the search box.
Adding a Campaign
Clicking the Add Campaign button will take you to the New Campaign screen. Simply enter the name of your campaign and click Save. Your campaign will now appear in the Campaigns dropdown when you create or edit a mailing.
Editing a Campaign
Clicking the Edit Campaign button next to any campaign will take you to the Edit Campaign screen. Here you can change the name of your campaign and manage your campaign links.
Deleting a Campaign
You can delete an empty campaign by checking the checkbox next to it and then clicking the Delete button. NOTE: You can't delete a campaign if it includes a mailing that has been sent or a campaign link that has been clicked through.
Campaign Links
A Campaign Link is an easy way to set up a tracked redirect from one URL to another.
Why would you use a Campaign Link? Imagine you're running an offline advertising campaign in The New York Times. You want people who read the ad to go to http://yoursite.com/support/nytimes/ — but who would type all of that in? Instead, you can advertise the URL http://yoursite.com/nyt and set up a Campaign Link that lets ARCOS know anyone to track how many people go to that URL and to redirect them on to http://yoursite.com/support/nytimes/
Adding a Campaign Link
- Click the Add Campaign Link button. You will be taken to the Add Campaign Link page.
- Select the root URL of the Redirect From page from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the relative URL of the page you wish to redirect from in the adjacent text box. Do not include the site URL e.g. If http://yoursite.com/category/page.html is the URL of the page, you would enter /category/page.html.
- Select the root URL of the Redirect To page from the pull-down.
- Enter the relative URL of the page you wish to redirect to in the adjacent text box.
- Enter a description (for internal use only).
- Click the Save button.
You will return to the Edit Campaign screen and your new non-mailing link will be displayed.
